Hello, my name is Bradford H. Turnow. I was born in Hackensack, New Jersey and lived in Northern
New Jersey for 17 years. I had many interesting jobs from pumping gas at Exxon to being a service clerk at Shop-Rite!
I also worked for Hilton Hotels for 4 years and had the chance to work indirectly with the New York Giants from 1997-2001
as I did many errands for the team. We used to have the team stay at our hotel and we would set up their film rooms,
eating rooms, meeting rooms, etc. I can remember bringing Bill Parcells donuts each morning before the game. Many
of the players were very nice, but many were not which is why I am not a Giant fan. I began my college education at
Ramapo College of New Jersey for a year and a half. I then moved to Colorado from 1992-1999 and lived in Fort Collins,
Colorado. I attended Colorado State University and received my undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in
Economics. While in Colorado, I operated a restaurant and bar for 4 years. It was a great experience meeting and
interacting with so many people. I then had a brief stint as a deputy with the Larimer County Sheriffs Office as a corrections
officer. I moved back to New York in 1999 and began attending Dowling College. I recently completed my Master's
Degree in Elementary Education. I definitely still miss the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
I was married in November of 2001 and my wife and I moved to Center Moriches in 2002 and love it
here! We are so lucky to live in such a great community and be surrounded by such wonderful people.
My hobbies include being the BIGGEST New York Yankees fan in the world. I have a pretty extensive
Yankees collection and have actually been featured on Japanese television 5 times! Maybe someday I can make it on television
in America.
I am also a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. I know that makes all you Jet and Giant fans very angry!
But I can clearly remember rooting for the Cowboys in the late 70s as my late grandfather rooted for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I also enjoy playing the guitar (used to play in bands many many years ago), building and repairing computers, collecting
Yankees stuff, and am a huge movie buff. I still live in the 80's and listen to almost all 80's music.
One of my most cherished moments is meeting Joe Torre twice. Once was at Border's in the
World Trade Centers in early 2001 and once in Huntington at the Book Revue in 2002. It was an incredibly experience
to meet one of my idols up and close and shake the hand of a World Champion!
Now I have the greatest addition to my life since my wife. Our son Gehrig was born on April
11, 2004. He is the joy of our life.
Most importantly, I am the luckiest person in the world because each day I get to work with your
child and help them learn and grow!
